Rescue Rebuild Returns to Sanctuary
Rescue Rebuild from The Greater Good will once again return to the Sanctuary from May 10 – 18th to complete work on the barn restoration, build paddocks, remove invasive plants and build a chicken run. If you are interested in volunteering, please register here.
The Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary is honored to have been chosen as a recipient of the Rescue Rebuild Organization. Rescue Rebuild is a community driven volunteer program of GreaterGood.Org that works to rebuild, repair, and renovate animal shelters and rescues in need. Volunteers come from all over the country to help with this wonderful organization’s mission. On May 9th a group of 30 volunteers will arrive in Newtown to continue renovation on the existing barn at the Sanctuary property. This barn will eventually be home to the Sanctuary farm animal refuge. Rescue Rebuild will be on site from May 10 – 18th working tirelessly to complete the renovation and repairs to the barn, build paddocks and continue with invasive plant removal.
As these volunteers donate their time and talent, we are asking for your support in providing meals or becoming a volunteer to assist with the renovation. If you are local we would love to show our volunteers our great hospitality by providing lunch and dinner. This is a great way for individuals/groups/organizations to come together and create wonderful meals for our volunteers. We have set up a meal train to facilitate this. If you are not local but want to be a part of the renovation, we have set up a wish list on Amazon of items we are in need of. Please use the links below for donating your time, signing up for a meal or purchasing items on our wish list. We are extremely appreciative of your kindness and generosity as we embark on this renovation. It is so exciting to see Catherine’s dream taking shape. Thank you once again for sharing in her dream.
